Marbled Eggs

Boil eggs for 7 minutes and rinse with cold water. Save water. Lightly tap or roll on the counter, to create little cracks in the shell. Bring water to a boil, add tea, soy sauce, star anis seed and cinnamon sticks and the eggs. Boil for 1/2 hour and leave eggs in liquid over night. Serve peeled and halved. A classic tea time treat.

For 6 servings you need:

  • 3 tsp Golden Yunnan
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 star anis seeds
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
