Fruit Infusions are one of Austria’s most popular hot beverages – no wonder considering that they come in many variations, contain no caffeine, are almost calorie-free and contain many vitamins and minerals. They are simply the best thirst quencher – whether hot or cold! It all started with rosehip peel in the 19050s, later on followed by hibiscus. These two formed the base for all fruit infusion blends. Andrew Demmer realised the trend in the 80s and invented the first fruit infusion blend in Austria - “Obstgarten” (Fruit Garden) – which is to this day still a bestseller in our range. After that kick-off experimenting started and recipes were refined with spices, blossoms, leaves, whole fruits and flavourings. From exotic, spicy and flowery to sweet and sour – in our extensive range you are sure to find the right tea for you! Discover our healthy, mild blends low on acids! Hibiscus and rosehip provide the wonderfully deep-red colour but also a sour touch. This is popular with homemade iced tea since it provides the refreshing flavour. But if you prefer mild blends you will find your match in our online shop. We recommend blends that contain little or no hibiscus and rosehip – watch out for the symbol  for mild Fruit Infusions!
