White Tea

... that White Tea is one of the most natural teas? The hand-plucked fresh leaves ferment only slightly during wilting and are then dried. Due to the gentle drying process in fresh air this tea has a very mild and subtle flavour. The light infusion is often sweet and flowery. In its origin White Tea was a delicate specialty from China but today many premium White Teas also come from India (e.g. the area of Darjeeling) and Sri Lanka. One of the most renowned types of White Tea is BIO Pai Mu Tan which loosely translates to “white peony”. Very much like Green Tea White Tea also contains vitamins and polyphenols which are said to have a beneficial effect. Caffeine is contained in White Tea as well. Preparation tip:
- Dosage: approx. 11g/litre
- Put preferable loose tea leaves in a (heated) teapot
- Infuse with 70-80°C hot water
- Infusion time: 2 minutes
